With the support of his mother June Smith who is also a music artist, Sstyles began songwriting at the age of 15, after his mother notice her son singing over songs that would play on the radio, and recognized his budding talents. He has been writing songs ever since, and is currently promoting his current solo project as a one man army with rounds of music to engage listeners.

Catering to a wide listening audience by not only showing his talents in RnB, Hip Hop, Dancehall, and Soca, but also keeping it clean, lyrically. After releasing his first mix-tape 'DNS TrailMixxx' in 2009, he realized his followers enjoyed his music but the mature listener could do without the cussing....He decided to switch it up this time around, by putting all the radio edits on '#Vartist Movement - Rush The Radio' and left the unedited version for the club DJ's. As a result, this small adjustment has created a bigger impact with growing number of news fans.

When asked about his style of music...."Growing up in Toronto there is so much diversity, it's a multicultural city, so it's wrong for me not be be able to engage in all the different types of music....we have calypso, soca, reggae, hip hop, RnB, old school; these are all the reasons that makes up Toronto". The fusion artist went on to say...."everyone has a friend from a different nationality and you got to support those friends, because they teach you certain things...."
