Watch: Brandy - VH1 Behind The Music (full episode)

VH1′s Behind the Music: Brandy aired last night. The documentary, walks us through the eventful life and career of the R&B songstress, who’s remained in the public spotlight for the best part of 17 years.

The episode, which you can watch in full below, traces back to Brandy Norwood's childhood and early love for Gospel singing, which eventually lead to a deal with Atlantic Records, her rapid rise to success with her quadruple-platinum self-titled debut album, and being taken under Whitney Houston‘s wing and everything that surrounded her status as America’s Sweetheart through the ’90s....

Behind the Music documents how she channeled her teen heartbreak through her sophomore LP Never Say Never, developed an eating disorder, lying about her marriage – which she calls “the fall of her career” – and her tragic car accident in 2006, which led to the death of another driver.

The former Moesha star says that the pressure to be a successful star caused the eating disorder.
Brandy says: "People don't understand that being the hottest star or making the most money does not mean anything. I'm here to tell you I was making so much money - I was omnipresent - and I was the teenager probably in the world."

Brandy also discusses her relationship with another '90s star, Boyz II Men singer Wayna Morris. She recalls being heartbroken when they spit up in the spring of 1997.

Now, with her sixth studio album Two Eleven scheduled to be released in June, Brandy is looking to bounce back, even despite frequent woe (coping with the death of her mentor, Whitney Houston).
