We talked about her last month and now Azealia Banks is set to release her first album. The lyricist from Harlem, New York is signed to Universal Records and is about to drop her debut album in September, which she made mention in a new interview with Nylon Magazine.

Her debut album will be called Broke With Expensive Taste; Banks also said that the theme of the album is a “young girl trying to find it… That girl who’s at the end of her childhood trying to get a job and make some money. She needs to get what she can get! She needs to go out there and show people she knows how to work for.”
The up-and-coming rapper has been well received across the pond in the UK and famed fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld called on her to perform at a dinner party last month celebrating a new line that Lagerfeld made her the face of with Net-a-Porte. Azealia Banks was the choice of entertainment for his high-profile guests.
